The SELVANS was developed as a cooperation between Extrema Ratio and the Master Advanced Instructor Daniele Dal Canto. It’s a modification of the ONTOS – a military survival knife – designed to enhance its effectiveness as a civilian tool.
A longer handle and a heavier blade enable enhanced chopping and cutting action. The improved survival kit (to be bought separately) includes: whistle, pocket chain saw, water purifying tabs, compass, copper wire, fireball flint and striker, LED light, 2.5 mts paracord and whetstone. The Selvans Expeditions, unlike its original model Selvans, It has a BÖHLER N690 (58HRC) blade steel with MIL-C-13924 burnishing and a superficial stone washed finishing (DARK STONE finishing).
